November A Box, Indied Review and Swatches

Greetings and Nailutations,

Today I have the November exclusive polishes from Llarowe's A Box, Indied.  As previously mentioned, Llarowe in an online indie stockist which has a monthly subscription box.  This month's theme was "A Cornocopia of Colors."

Now let's get to some swatches.

First up is Last Leaves from Contrary Polish.  Last Leaves is a brown crelly that contains gold and red shimmer in certain light.  This polish reminds me of fall colors (something I don't see too often living in the desert and one thing I really do miss from living in the Northwest).  Formula was easy to work with.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat in filtered light (1st photo) and simulated sunlight (2nd photo).

Next is Cran I Have Seconds Please? from Glisten & Glow.  Glisten & Glow is more widely known for making a fast dry top coat (HK Girl Top Coat), that I do happen to use on occasion.  Cran I Have Seconds Please? is a magenta (pink-purple) holographic polish.  Great formula which applied easily.  Photos show 2 coats in filtered light (1st photo) and simulated sunlight (2nd and third photos), rectangular gold stud and shiny top coat.

Blackest Friday from Black Cat Lacquer is up next.  Blackest Friday is a black glitter jelly.  It contains micro glitters of gold, green, magenta, and blue.  Good formula for application.  Photos show 2 coats in filtered light (1st photo) and simulated sunlight (2nd and 3rd photos) with shiny top coat .

Next is another holographic polish called Turkey Coma from Colors by Llarowe.  Turkey Coma is a orange-red holo with added gold and purple holo shimmer to it.  Impeccable formula as with all Colors by Llarowe polishes.  Photos show 2 coats in filtered light (1st photo) and simulated sunlight (2nd and 3rd photos) with shiny top coat.

The last polish from the box is from Dollish Polish and it is called Shake Your Turkey Feather.  I did see people build it up to opacity, but I prefer not to use 3 coats.  I decided to sponge on black at the tips, then add 2 coats of Shake Your Turkey Feather and then a top coat (which has a slight yellow tint) to achieve this look.  I was really happy about how it turned out.  This polish was easy to work with and has tons of glitter in multi-colors.

Shiny Top Coat: Gem Glam Top Coat from www.dreampolish.com
Black Polish: Yoga Pants from Drip Drop Nail Paint

Loves:  My favorites of the box is Shake Your Turkey Feather and Turkey Coma (evidently I like turkey things?).  Shake Your Turkey Feather had some really interesting colors to it and seems to look great on  it's own as well as layers over different colors.  Turkey Coma is a favorite because I don't have an orange-red holo yet!

Wishes:  Pleased with this month's box - wouldn't change a thing!

Which is your favorite?

Happy Polishing,
Kristi aka @BeginNails
